PS Vita Pre-Order Sales

Pre-ordering of the PS Vita climbed at Amazon.com this week amid growing demand for the handheld system.

This week, the PS Vita Wi-Fi SKU held a 20 percent sales increase to rank at No. 358 in Amazon’s Video Games division this week.

The PS Vita will include dual analog sticks, a 5-inch multi-touch OLED display, 3G & GPS, front and rear touch panels, and a compass on three axes. It will utilize flash-memory game cards.

The Wi-Fi only model will sell at $249.99. The 3G model will sell at $299.99.
Hardware specifications include an ARM Cortex A9 4-core CPU, front camera, rear camera, built-in microphone, and Bluetooth 2.1. The company will partner with AT&T to allow current customers to access Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide.

The PS Vita Party mode will allow users to chat with nearby owners and will allow users to play with friends using their PSN ID.

The PS3 160GB Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle, which began sale May 31, includes the PS3 160GB hardware, a copy of Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, the Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC Pack, and a Dualshock 3 Controller at $299.99.

Sony in May began sale of the Limited Edition PSP Entertainment Pack, which includes the PSP-3000 handheld, 2GB Memory Stick Pro, Gran Turismo, and MLB 11 The Show at $199.99
