Developers are preparing their titles for the Fall season. Two big titles featuring multiplayer always get a helping hand from the community in tuning their games before launch. After recently playing the multiplayer beta for PS3 exclusive Uncharted 3, and previewing the Xbox 360 exclusive Gears of War 3, I am sure a lot of you are waiting for your favorite title. Both UC3 and GoW3 feature two modes such as the competitive the multiplayer and cooperative modes. So, there is a clean perspective between the two games of what makes them unique and interesting in their own regard.
Uncharted 3 is definitely a revolutionary multiplayer title. These days, developers have tried to add multiplayers into their single player titles just to extend the shelf life of their games. Usually the feature turned out to be boring and lifeless. When Naughty Dog announced that Uncharted 2 was going to have multiplayer, no one really had high expectation. With the feature turned out to be a success because the core gameplay of Uncharted 2's multiplayer combined all the essence of the single player experience without dulling the environmental interactivity and vertical gunplay.
Gears of War 3 is often compared to Uncharted multiplayer mode but it really doesn't make much sense; both games are very unique in their own way. Gears of War 3 has a grittier style, heavy combat, and chainsaw Lancers; I don't think anyone wants to see Nathan Drake with his limb on the ground. Previous Gears of Wars were criticized about lag online, but despite the lag, people are still actively playing the game online.
So which title are you more excited about? Maybe both?
